Priorities & Strategy
Ongoing Training of Current Leadership
The CMS believes that strong churches are a natural result of trained leadership. Currently, the majority of our churches within the Caribbean are not “traditionally” staffed with trained ministers. Most of these local churches are led by dedicated and sacrificial men and women who also work traditional jobs outside of ministry. Most of the training currently received by these leaders take place in an online format. We at the CMS believe that in-person training is critical to relationship building, and so desire to connect these local leaders with trained ministers who can commit to occasional in-person meetings with them. We are very proud of our most recent initiative, the Jean-Baptistery Caribbean School of Missions and are very hopeful for the future of in-person training opportunities in the Caribbean because of it.
