St. Thomas, USVI

About the Ministry

Church Planted: 1994

Number of Disciples: 15

Leadership: Dean & Melissa Bump (Non Full-Time Tentmakers)

We meet in Berne’s Alley, in Charlotte Amalie at 10:30am on Sundays and 7pm on Wednesday nights.

The church in St. Thomas started with 16 members, meeting in the building we lease most Sundays, and but keeping our tradition of having Beach Service the last Sunday of every month. God blessed us with Randy & Kay McKean’s presence in February, as they spent a month on our island to each write a book. One of our older sisters move to NJ to be closer to her son, but we also saw 2 campus students added to the church, prompting Dean & Melissa to fulfill a dream of theirs of getting back on UVI for a Thursday night bible discussion. God has been moving in the hearts of the church by bringing the sisters closer together in friendship and unity, and by seeing our young brothers begin raising up, serving in different capacities during services.

Another highlight has been to see a Kingdom Kid, whose parents had fallen away and he, himself, after not coming for 5 years, show up to church and say that at 17 and a senior in high school, he’s been feeling this hole in his heart and he can’t seem to fill it with other activities, so he’s wants to start studying the Bible. He began last Sunday. In addition, his mom and younger sister came to church with him.

Please pray for our campus BT to be fruitful this Spring, and for God to help us convert young men and women who can raise up and lead in the church.
